Since 1984, the first full week of May has been designated to take time out to acknowledge the invaluable role of teachers in shaping the future of our community and our world.
National Teacher Appreciation Week 2017 is May 8-12, but many campuses around the district decided to celebrate early due to STAAR testing. No matter what dates were ultimately decided upon, Mansfield ISD would like to celebrate and deliver our thanks to all of our educators for their selfless work and dedication.
“Teachers deliver so much to our students—inspiration, encouragement and, ultimately, their futures.” said Mansfield ISD Superintendent Dr. Jim Vaszauskas. “Their work and impact extends far beyond the boundaries of the classroom. On behalf of the community and the Board of Trustees, thank you for working tirelessly educating and shaping our children. That's what makes Mansfield ISD a great place to live, learn and teach."
MISD has more than 2,100 teachers employed. All of them are essential to the learning process of our students.
