FAFSA Help Nights at The Center
The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) opens online on October 1st for students planning to attend college next year. The FAFSA is the application that students fill out in order to determine their financial aid eligibility. FAFSA needs to be filled out each academic year using the prior year's tax information, for the class of 2018 that will be 2016 tax information.
The Mansfield ISD is offering two help nights this Fall for senior students and their families who would like to use the computer lab and have assistance filling out the online forms.
October 5th and November 16th from 6:30-8:00 at the MISD Center for the Performing Arts- Computer labs will be opened and representatives will be available for hands on assistance completing the FAFSA.
We will have one session from 6:30-7:15 and a second session from 7:15-8:00.

To complete the FAFSA you will need the following information:
- Your Social Security Number
- Your federal income tax returns, W-2s, and other records of money earned. (Note: You may be able to transfer your federal tax return information into your FAFSA using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool.)
- An FSA ID to sign electronically.
