The Black student Union is back in full swing.  Calling all old members and any new members to come out to our first meeting.  Wednesday, November 2, 2022 in room A-I102.  Come see what the Black Student Union is all about.  There are flyers around the school with an QR code.  Come check us out!

 

TUESDAY is our Blood Drive.  Sign up on the QR codes around the cafeteria - If you are 16 years old and want to give blood you must get the permission form signed. Permission forms are on the door of the StuCo room B101.

MONDAY is SPIKE BALL for BATTLE OF THE CLASSES.  This week is a series of games and challenges this week culminating in our Pep Rally on Friday afternoon.  We will have QR codes up to sign up to participate in the pep rally games. 

Don't forget to bring cans for Broncos Set the Table - we will be counting cans for classes - currently the Sophomore class is ahead.

Attention Seniors:  Jostens will be on campus taking your announcement and cap and gown orders this Friday, November 4 during lunches. You will need to bring your first payment to place your order.  Extra packets are at the front desk if you need one.  If you have not yet purchased your class ring, you can order your ring at this time as well.  Design your ring at www.jostens.com, print your order form, and bring it with your other forms.

Teachers and students, The Latin Diversities club would like to invite you to celebrate “El Día de los Muertos”, The day of the dead with us.  El Día de los Muertos is a day where it is believed that the souls of our loved ones cross over to the land of the living to visit with their family.  The Latin Diversities club will honor this tradition by setting up altars on all three floors commemorating those that have passed.  If you would like participate on this day, bring a picture of your loved one with a small description of them to Mrs. Pena on the 2nd floor and we will hang it up on one of the altars.  Last day to bring it will be Tuesday November 1st.

Considering UTA as one of your college options or just want to learn more about available option at UTA? Join us for UTA in MISD night. Event will be this Wednesday November 2nd at the Dr. Jim Vaszauskas Center for the Performing Arts from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM. There will be a session on admission, financial aid and you can hear from current UTA students about their experience. There will also be a college fair starting at 6:30 where you can visit with the varies departments within UTA. This is a great time to get to learn more about your program of interest! There will also be people in the computer labs to help you complete your FAFSA if needed! See the counseling office for more details and to register!
