Want help in choosing classes for next year? Well, we’ve got you covered, Science NHS is hosting an advisory conference that assists underclassmen in choosing their courses for the upcoming school year! Do not worry if you’ve already chosen a class, there’s always time to change! The session will begin after school in the library on Wednesday, February 7th, see you there!
What to expect:
*Presentations on preparing for college and paying for college
*Mini College, Career and Military Fair
*Hands on help completing the FAFSA
*This is an event you don’t want to miss!
The FAFSA opened on December 31st. The state of Texas now requires seniors to complete the FAFSA, or formally opt out. If you are planning to attend college, you should complete the FAFSA. Even if you don’t think you’ll qualify for “free” money, many colleges require the FAFSA to be completed and use it when considering students for scholarships. We have scheduled some evening help sessions at the MISD Center for the Performing Arts to assist with your FASFA! These sessions, at the Dr. Jim Vaszauskas Center for the Performing Arts, are on on January 16th, January 25th, February 8th and February 20th. You will receive an e-mail to register for one of these evenings if you need help. You can also get FASFA assistance at the Legacy Go Center.
From MISD - Parents join us at RL Anderson as we share some tips to help your student on STAAR. You can register here. Details Below! We hope to see you there.
