Dear Legacy High School Students and Parents,

As we approach the end of the school year, it is time to prepare for final exams.  The following information details eligibility requirements, final exam schedules, and instructions for completing the online final exam exemption request form . Eligibility criteria for exam exemptions can be found on this document. Final reviews and exams will be conducted May 18th (Reviews A-Day), May 19th (Exams A-Day), May 20th (Reviews B-Day), and May 21st (Exams B-Day).

Please note that per MISD policy, it is not permissible for students to take final exams early. If a student misses a spring semester exam, they must coordinate with the counselor/office staff to come take the exam after Memorial Day (May 25th). 

Students can request to be exempted from up to three exams for the semester by completing the form at the end of this email. 
Please note: 

• The form will be open for submissions on Monday, May 11 at 6:00 a.m. and will stop accepting submissions on Sunday, May 17 at 11:59 p.m.
• Students must select the appropriate block for the class for which they are requesting an exemption.  Students choosing a Ben Barber course must select the appropriate Ben Barber session.
• Students who take AP classes and meet the requirements for exemptions are entitled to an extra exemption for each course. These requests should NOT be submitted on the form – they are “bonus”. 
• Students who earn an IBC through a Ben Barber course/exam and meet the requirements for exemptions are entitled to an extra exemption for each course. These requests should NOT be submitted on the form – they are “bonus”. 

Once submitted:

• No modifications can be made - check your selections before clicking "submit".
• Students will receive a receipt of submission email to their MISD Google email account. If you do not get a confirmation or rejection email, your submission did not go through!
• If students have trouble accessing their MISD email account, please visit campus technology for assistance.  Students may also reach out to their assistant principal with any questions.
• Final exemption eligibility will be determined by the teacher of record.
