Mansfield ISD Natatorium is proud to announce a Water Safety Field Day for your child. From approximately 9:00 am to 12:00 pm your child will have a fun-filled trip of learning about swimming and water safety. You as the parent or guardian are also invited to come to learn about water safety and the programs offered while sitting in our viewing area.
This is our Eleventh year for the “Water Safety Field Trip” and we are very excited about the benefits each child will receive from this experience. Focus areas for each child will include water and diving safety, and evaluation of present swimming skills. The trained and certified staff of the MISD Natatorium will be conducting all lessons.
On the day of your child’s class trip to the pool, children are asked to wear their swimsuit under their regular school clothes. Each child will need to bring 2 towels in a plastic bag. (Please do not tie the bag shut with knots) Upon arrival at the pool, children will prepare to swim by placing their school clothes in their bag. Each child will keep one of their towels with them throughout the morning. (A name on your child’s clothing might be helpful but not completely necessary.) Also, at the end of the day when your child is preparing to return to their school, they will need an undergarment of clothing such as underwear because their swimsuits will be wet and uncomfortable, so please remember to pack this item in your child’s plastic bag. Parents should also be aware that at the end of the program, students will be in a supervised locker room setting, to change out of their wet swimsuits and back into their school clothes.
Students will return to school for lunch.
The cost for each student is $3.00. If the cost is an issue, please contact your child’s principal. Please make payment online: https://goo.gl/c4XQnn
